The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) is collecting your personal information (including sensitive information) for the purpose of facilitating your participation in Dubai Expo 2020.
Your personal information (including sensitive information) will only be used or disclosed for this purpose unless you give your consent for DFAT to use or disclose your personal information for another purpose or where DFAT is otherwise authorised by law (including but not limited to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)).
Your information will be shared with contracted service providers engaged by the department to organise and deliver the Dubai Expo 2020 event. These contracted service providers include EventsAIR, JA Resorts, and XYZ. Your personal information may also be shared with the department’s event partners so that specific events can be delivered to you. A list of the department’s event partners is available at www.australiaexpo2020.com/partners. 
The event will be photographed and recorded.  Your image and video footage may be captured and later published on the DFAT website, or in other DFAT materials, including on DFAT social media accounts or in the Annual Report.
Your information will be handled, stored and protected in accordance with DFAT’s Privacy Policy. Details regarding how you can access, update and correct your information held by DFAT, along with how you can make a privacy enquiry or complaint, can also be found in DFAT’s Privacy Policy.

You may refuse to provide your personal information to DFAT, but if you do not consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information, you may not be able to attend Dubai Expo 2020.
Under Australian privacy law, where DFAT discloses personal information to a person who is not in Australia or an external Territory of Australia (overseas recipient), DFAT is required to take reasonable steps to ensure that the overseas recipient does not breach the Australian Privacy Principles. By signing below, you are agreeing that DFAT will not be required to take these steps. This means that if the overseas recipient (for example, a contracted service provider or event partner) handles your personal information in a way that breaches the Australian Privacy Principles, DFAT will not be accountable under the Privacy Act 1988.

Your registration for this event has been confirmed. 

Additional event details will be sent to you before the event.  If required, this will include your Expo 2020 Dubai ticket.
